Marissa Aldana - Technical Fashion Designer

About Me
I'm a technical fashion designer who found my way from film wardrobe design to custom pattern making. I'm big on vintage denim, clean lines, and letting the details do the talking.
As an Echo Park native and proud Angeleno, I bring bold structure, rich texture, and inclusive energy to everything I create—from laid-back athleisure in experimental denim to sculptural pieces designed to empower the wearer.
Professional Background & Process
With an Associate's Degree in Fashion Design from Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, I've built expertise in pattern making, garment constructions, and full-scale product development. My journey began as a product development intern, but my talent and drive quickly made me a key creative contributor. I thrive in the complete A-to-Z design process... sketching, draping, cutting, fitting, and refining.
Whether I'm at the sewing machine or collaborating in the studio, I bring uniquely grounded energy: passionate, curious, and always ready to create something that sparks connection. I gravitate towards slow days and tactile things, with a deep love for seeing garments evolve from concept to runway-ready pieces.
When I'm not sewing, I enjoy playing pool with friends—always seeking ways to grow, collaborate, and add my distinctive voice to fashion opportunities.
